This is a special kudos to all of you who tried but fell short of making the time standards for the Junior Olympics.
“It is much better to set the highest goals and to fall short of them, rather than to have no goals at all.”
Be at ease with yourself for trying the hardest you could this summer. Your time will come. Keep working hard and the work will pay off…
Lastly as we wind up the season a big yell out to all those competing in the metro champs this weekend… and those competing in the OCSC finals……go Beach…
Summer Break
Now is the time for all to recoup from the season. Take family vacations... go surfing, biking, camping, hiking…. Have some summer fun and regenerate those batteries. The fall season will kick off September 11th. There will be maintenance workouts M-TH 4-6:30 at the Belmont facility. If you are in town, just stop by and attend a few…age group kids should continue to train but also take time to recoup. Collegiate athletes need to continue to train until they leave for school. The senior development kids can work on strength development. The seniors can lift. Whatever you do, DO NOT COME BACK OVERWEIGHT AND OUT OF SHAPE…. You will pay for it in September… Happy summer…
