Long Beach Swim Club is not a high yardage club. We have created a specialty program that focuses on individual talents and causes dramatic athletic improvements. Beach participates in swim meets and we encourage each swimmer to compete, although it is not a requirement. Beach Swim Club offers interested Age Group, Senior Development and Senior swimmers a 1 week free trial. If you are interested, please come down any Monday at 4:15 pm to start your free trial!
Pathways is our introductory program for kids 4 years and up who are just beginning their love of the water. It is two days per week for 25 minutes of instruction, and 5 minutes of water play. This additional play fosters body awareness and lets the children practice what they are being taught through self‐exploration.
This group's main focus is becoming race ready. It is a program that teaches through kicking and stroke/skill development. Swimmers will become proficient in all four competitive strokes. All practices at this level include 60 minutes of swimming and 30 minutes of dryland exercises and stretching.
The Junior Elite Program consists of our top performing age group swimmers (12 and Under). This group of swimmers strives towards championship meets including committee championships, WAG, and Junior Olympics. Swimmers practice year-round and attend meets. Swimmers begin to identify a primary stroke and/or event. Practices include on hour of dryland exercise.
The Senior Development Group is for swimmers age 13 and up who strive to become proficient in all strokes with correct turns, starts and finishes. The emphasis of the group is proper stroke technique in all four strokes. Participation in meets is strongly recommended. Practice includes on hour of dryland exercises.
Senior Junior Elites
The Senior Junior team are Juniors who have made a commitment to year round swimming and
wish to compete. Practice includes a major increase in aerobic training along with dryland
cross fit training.
The Senior Elite Team is the top tier of our Club. It is designed for a swimmers who have made a commitment to year round swimming and wish to excel in this competitive sport.
Practice includes a major increase in aerobic training along with dryland cross fit training. Senior Elites are preparing for National and Collegiate level swimming.
